Perseus Selected to Implement Survey System for MasterCard

BRAINTREE, MA (January 17, 2003) - MasterCard has selected Perseus Development Corporation, a leader in web-based survey software and research services, as its enterprise software solution for implementing a survey research system. An industry leader in providing payment solutions for financial institutions, MasterCard is implementing Perseus Enterprise SurveySolutions software for a wide range of survey applications including customer satisfaction, employee feedback and training course evaluations.

MasterCard conducted a six-month evaluation process of several survey software solutions to determine the strongest product. At the conclusion, MasterCard selected Perseus SurveySolutions Enterprise for its ease of use and "openness".

"Our goal was to identify a survey tool that is easy to use and that allows us to use a web-based solution that crosses multiple platforms to determine customer satisfaction for a variety of initiatives."

Perseus SurveySolutions Enterprise streamlines the web survey process, providing improved productivity, real-time results, centralized management, control and security, and cost-effective multi-mode survey implementation. SuveySolutions Enterprise allows users to easily design professional questionnaires with advanced features in an intuitive word processing environment, deploy them through the Web, and have results collected to an Internet-based SQL database such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, or MySQL. Reporting and analysis are provided in real-time from the desktop or through the SurveySolutions Enterprise Portal.

MasterCard has purchased corporate licenses from Perseus for 2,200 employees to use SurveySolutions Enterprise. The first uses of the software have been for market research and customer feedback. Member financial institutions will be using it in order to view pertinent results and data from market research surveys conducted to obtain customer feedback on banks’ products and services.
