Perseus And Websurveyor Announce Addition Of Key Executives

New CFO, CMO, Others Announced Following July 19th Merger Announcement

Braintree, MA, and Herndon, VA – September 7, 2006 – The newly merged Perseus Development Corporation (, and WebSurveyor (, today announced the addition of several key executives to its management team. Joining the Company in new roles are Andrew Keenan, Chief Financial Officer; George Kanuck, Senior Vice President of Sales; and Su Doyle, Chief Marketing Officer. The combined operational and leadership experience of these individuals will be invaluable in enabling the companies to effectively integrate resources, products, and services.

Newly-named CFO Andrew Keenan joins the company with more than 20 years of experience providing comprehensive financial support to a diversified group of high technology, manufacturing and service organizations in multi-national and multi-business unit structures. Andrew has a successful track record in managing all financial operations in high growth environments including the completion of five successful IPOs and over 25 acquisitions. Most recently, Keenan served as Chief Financial Officer at Silver Oak Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of spend management services to governmental and Fortune 500 customers, where he was instrumental in the successful sale of Silver Oak to CGI Group, Inc., a $3B public company.

Su Doyle joins the company as Chief Marketing Officer and will lead global marketing and product strategy for the company. Su is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with a track record of creating new market opportunities, including defining the product strategy for two successful IPOs, Lycos and Engage. Su's 20 years of technology industry leadership includes extensive cross-functional management, marketing, technology, and implementation expertise, having held executive management positions at Lexign, Engage, AdSmart and Lycos. Most recently, she co-founded Providus Software Solutions, one of the first companies to develop enterprise-wide survey systems for risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

George Kanuck joins the company as Senior Vice President of Sales and will lead global sales efforts for the company's survey applications and related services. He offers 15 years of extensive sales experience with small and mid-sized customers, complemented by successful engagements with the Fortune 1000 in start-up, turnaround and high growth situations. He has a proven track record launching complex sales and distribution models involving direct selling combined with field and inside sales support, as well as strategic partnerships and 3rd party distribution channels. Prior to joining the company, George spent 10 years at Dun & Bradstreet/Hoover's Inc., where he most recently held the position of Vice President of Strategic Accounts and Channels.

In addition to new appointments, the company also announced that the founders of Perseus and WebSurveyor along with another key WebSurveyor executive have been appointed to key positions within the management team under the leadership of Dean Wiltse, CEO:

  • David Alison, co-founder and former CTO of WebSurveyor, was named CTO, leading development for the company's full line of Enterprise Feedback Management solutions, tools and products. David designed the original survey software that became the foundation for WebSurveyor and offers more than 22 years of high technology experience in developing software applications for both businesses and consumers. Prior to founding WebSurveyor, David managed web development projects for JDJ Software, where he developed systems for Carswell Publishing, Research Institute of America and Merrill Lynch. At Symantec/Peter Norton Group, David was the user interface architect for all Norton products, where he developed interface designs for the Windows versions of Norton Utilities, Norton Desktop for Windows, PCAnywhere, and the Norton Utilities for Macintosh. David has also been a frequent contributor to technical publications, authoring over 50 articles for various magazines.
  • Jeffrey Henning, co-founder and former CTO, COO of Perseus, will become COO and Senior Vice President, responsible for overseeing research services, training and support. Jeffrey has 19 years of experience in the market-research industry developing software applications and commercial products, as well as managing survey-research projects for high-tech leaders of the Fortune 1000. Prior to co-founding Perseus, Jeffrey worked with BIS Strategic Decisions (now part of Forrester Research) in the U.S. and in Europe managing custom consulting projects of all sizes and scope. He was formerly a columnist with Computerworld magazine and developed Perseus SurveySolutions® for the Web, which won the PC Magazine Editors' Choice Award for web-survey software in 1997. In 2004, he led the marketing and software development teams that pioneered and named the concept of Enterprise Feedback Management.
  • Rich Nadler, co-founder and former President of Perseus, will become Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, overseeing the Company's partnerships, alliances and corporate development initiatives. Rich has over 20 years experience in market research, software development and business planning. Prior to forming Perseus, Rich served as a Senior Vice President with BIS Strategic Decisions (now part of Forrester Research). Prior to BIS, Rich worked for Digital Equipment Corporation in a wide range of professional and managerial roles including finance, marketing, information technology, software development, training and sales.
  • Jeff Beardsley, former VP Survey Tools at WebSurveyor will become General Manager, Survey Tools Group, guiding operations, customer care and delivery for the online tools division. Prior to WebSurveyor, Jeff co-founded two successful software firms delivering consulting services for companies like VeriSign, Thomson Publishing, and MCI. Jeff also served as Chief Technology Officer for American WholeHealth, leading development for its award-winning consumer health website, At Thomson Technology Services Group, Jeff led development efforts for one of the first high volume content publishing applications ever deployed on the Internet for the Research Institute of America (RIA).
