Perseus Development Corporation Provides Web Survey Research Services
Announces the Formation of Perseus Research Services
BRAINTREE, MA (October 27, 1998) - Perseus Development Corporation, the leading provider of Web survey software, announced today the formation of a new division, Perseus Research Services. Perseus Development Corporation has been at the forefront of technology-based research since it was founded in 1994. Perseus Research Services (PRS) is based around the company's primary software product, SurveySolutions for the Web, the market leader in the "do it yourself" Internet survey category.
Services currently being offered by Perseus Research Services include Web and e-mail questionnaire consultation and design, Web survey hosting, response collection and results analysis. PRS also offers turn-key Internet-based research studies (i.e., customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, course evaluation, web site evaluations, etc.).
According to Richard Nadler, President of Perseus, the company's expansion is in response to the opportunities presented by customers like Microsoft, Lucent and HP who prefer to outsource their Web survey research. "The Web is redefining survey research - everything is changing - from more focused survey objectives to more timely survey results."
Carrie Ross, Research Services Manager, will head Perseus Research Services. Ms. Ross comes to Perseus with over 10 years of market-research experience. "We are able to provide our customers with a unique combination of research knowledge and technology expertise. Our focus is on meeting the specific research needs of each customer," said Ms. Ross.
According to Steve Weissman, President of Kinetic Information, a high-tech research and consulting firm based in Waltham MA, "Recent advances in Internet technology now allow for sophisticated research techniques such as user identification, security and validation. In many cases, this makes the Web more than a just viable medium for survey research - it makes it the premier medium."
"The Internet is seen as one of the major tools for future research," Felix Josef of Vienna-based market research agency Triconsult told attendees of the Research '98 conference.
Perseus Development Corporation developed and markets SurveySolutions for the Web. The software allows users to create professional surveys, post them to the Web or distribute them via e-mail, automatically collect responses, analyze the results and instantly produce effective presentations.
