Web-Based Survey & Analysis Software Enhances the Value of Web Sites
BRAINTREE, MA (September 8, 1997) - Perseus Development Corp. announced today the development of SurveySolutions for the Web, Release 1.0, a Web-based version of its survey design and analysis software. Perseus will formally unveil SurveySolutions for the Web at IT Forum '97 in New York on September 16.
SurveySolutions for the Web enables users to create professional surveys, post them to the Web or distribute them via e-mail, automatically collect responses, analyze the results, and instantly produce effective presentations. Typical applications include customer satisfaction, employee feedback, and product concept testing.
SurveySolutions is the only survey system in which the user creates and modifies questionnaires in a word processor without any scripting, programming, or dialogue sequences to master. The product features AutoDesign wizards and ResearchExpert (TM) guidelines that step users without survey experience through the process of creating professional questionnaires.
SurveySolutions for the Web automates the collection of completed surveys as they are submitted from the Web or returned via e-mail. Custom analysis functionality includes point-and-click cross-tabs, frequency distribution reports, summary statistics and charting for comprehensive results analysis. The product also features an AutoPresent (TM) wizard that selects from fifteen different chart types to automatically build effective presentations of survey results.

The product ships with a library of over 200 sample questions and a selection of complete survey templates.

SurveySolutions for the Web runs on personal computers operating with Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT. The software requires a minimum of 4 MB of RAM and 6 MB of hard drive space. Content is stored in text formats compatible with all major word processors. Results are stored in a Microsoft Access database and are compatible with major statistical analysis packages including SPSS.
