Perseus Announces SurveySolutions for the Web Version 2
Web Survey Software Enhances the Value of Web Sites with "LIVE" Survey Results
BRAINTREE, MA (January 12, 1999) - Perseus Development Corp. announced today the release of SurveySolutions for the Web v2.0. Perseus SurveySolutions for the Web, the leader in the growing Web and E-mail survey software market, has been used to complete over one million Web and e-mail based surveys since it first shipped in January, 1998.
Perseus SurveySolutions for the Web enables users to create professional surveys, post them to the Web or distribute them via e-mail, automatically collect responses, analyze the results, and instantly produce effective presentations all from the comfort of their own workstation. Typical applications include customer satisfaction, employee measurement, course evaluations, web site feedback and product concept testing.
Perseus SurveySolutions for the Web is the only survey system in which the user creates and modifies questionnaires in a word-processing environment without any scripting, programming, or dialogue sequences to master. New features for version 2.0 include survey design templates, an expanded question library, support for displaying "LIVE" Web results, and an enhanced Publish to Web Wizard that automates the process of posting the survey to the Web.
SurveySolutions for the Web v2.0 also automates the collection of completed surveys as they are submitted from the Web or returned via e-mail. Support for "LIVE" results allows survey administrators to track survey responses and monitor results on a real-time basis. "LIVE" functionality also provides the ability to post short entertaining polls on the Web.
Reporting and analysis functionality includes point-and-click frequency distribution reports, summary statistics and charting for comprehensive results analysis. The product also features an AutoPresent (TM) Wizard that selects from fifteen different chart types to automatically build effective presentations of survey results.
"With Version 2.0 we have added some very powerful functionality based on the feedback and suggestions from our customers," said Rich Nadler, President of Perseus. "We've enhanced our commitments for ease of use and Microsoft Office compatibility," confirmed Scott Washburn, Product Marketing Manager. "With version 2.0 we've achieved our design goal to make creating surveys as easy as writing a letter with Microsoft Word, and producing professional presentations as easy as clicking a button."
Perseus SurveySolutions for the Web v2.0 runs on personal computers operating with Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT. The software requires a minimum of 4 MB of RAM and 6 MB of hard drive space. Content is stored in text formats compatible with all major word processors. Results are stored in a Microsoft Access database and are compatible with major statistical analysis packages including SPSS.
The product is now broadly available through major software catalogs, resellers, distributors and retail stores. SurveySolutions for the Web can also be purchased from Perseus directly on their Web site at http://perseus.com for $229.
